- I had a similar problem this week. The .inf file from the USR website
- just didn't work. I'd tuned in on a thread which suggested there was
- some corruption in the web-based file and to use the USR BBS for the
- download. I did and eventually I got *that* one to work. Be advised,
- however, that I (and many others) was unable to have Win95's modem
- setup detect a "Sportster 33600" modem. It only shows Sportster
- External 28800, which according to USR on Compuserve *is* the one for
- 33600 upgrade. I'm using the modem now with the new .inf and upgrade
- eprom chip but still get some sub-28800 ISP connections [which I'd
- expect]. So, i'ts hard to tell whether all is installed and working
- (hardware and .inf) as it should be. BTW: If anyone knows how to
- check this, please advise.
